I thought I'd start off the Car Blogs with regular updates on my Megane R26. It's been a difficult start to say the least! I got the car cheap since it needed some tidying up, and after pricing up the jobs, decided it was a good investment.
Had it on the ramps on Friday (01/03/13) and all checked out underneath. Untill it's dyno'd still not sure on power, or exactly what it's had done, but that's to follow! Unfortunately, after we took it off the ramp the N/S ABS sensor failed..Treat! So with no TC or ABS I went home a little dejected and had to buy myself some detailing goodies to sooth my distress!
After spending 4 Hours cleaning and polishing yesterday...pics to follow!....I set of to take the missus out, to find the Check engine light on...the Result...an epic misfire and failures of bank 2 & 3 coils! Put WD40 on them and left it overnight (in case it was moisture) and car is a little better today, but still not great!
So the tuning will have to be delayed due to new coils & spark plugs coming tomorrow, but it will be trated to some injector & fuel pump cleaner and a dyno in due course. Pics of the now gleaming car to follow!

So... After a busy coue of months with work my attention was turned to the Meg! Booked in for a service and MOT, but clearly she was neglected previously! It's faults and needs were:
Cam Belt & Aux Belt change 2 New front tyres ESP Sensor FN/S Rear number plate light Pads & Disks All round Auto headlight correction link New washer piping and connections.
After over £2k spent she is nearly up to scratch. So the tuning is still on hold, but she is going on the dyno next month. Trying to get her ready for the trip to the ring on the back end of summer!

So...after the epic service what next? My attention of late has turned to detailing! I've always been a fan of shiny shiny's so I decided to get on that train. Armed with my autoglym professional pack and other assorted products I set to work on the Meg. After 7 hours (and not even getting to the inside) here are the results: Attachments:

So, a fantastic day at French Car Show, car was looking great, although a little out of the way! Managed to get the interior vents sprayed with a good final result, and got some great ideas for cosmetics! Time to start work for next year!!
